Spotlight Delaware’s story revealing the potential electric consumption needs of a proposed data center near Delaware City topped the list of most read Delaware Business Now posts in July.

In second place was the opening of the Lidl supermarket in Bear, followed closely behind by proposed Northeast Corridor train service that would exclusively use high-speed trains.
Concern over reassessment grew during the month with a story on New Castle County officials issuing an advisory on property ta bills that arrived in July. The higher property taxes in many bills led to a firestorm of criticism that will lead to a special session of the General Assembly later this month.
Avelo Airlines remained in the news as it announced plans to exit its East Coast routes, with a fedreal report showing the Wilmington Airport to be one of its stronger destinations.
Rounding out the top 15 was the interim president of the Universithy of Delaware making personnel moves that included an interim chief financial officer.
