Lumber Liquidators has closed its store in University Plaza in the Christiana area off Route 273, south of Newark.
Earlier, LL Flooring stores in Delaware and elsewhere returned to the Lumber Liquidators name after the company emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in Wilmington.
Lumber Liquidators founder Tom Sullivan bought back a much smaller company after the closings of hundreds of locations. The sales included the company's Virginia warehouse.

The flooring chain still has about 200 stores and retained locations in Claymont and in Kent and Sussex County open.
Sullivan, who started the business in the Boston area in the ‘90s, brought back a name that sometimes sent people to what appeared to be a discount lumberyard.
Sullivan later left the company and formed a private equity firm with holdings that include Cabinets to Go and a company that imports French wine.
Lumber Liquidators faces serious challenges, including sluggish consumer spending for home improvements and competition from big box stores and regional chains.
