Mountaire, Allen Harim name CEOs
Two Sussex County-based poultry companies have new CEOs.
Michael Little was recently named CEO of Allen Harim Foods.
He has 30 years of experience in the poultry industry,
Michael has held key leadership roles, most recently serving as Executive VP of Sales at Allen Harim.
Earlier this year, Amanda Irwin was named President of Mountaire Farms. She had been serving as chief operating officer.
Irwin has more than a quarter-century of experience at Mountaire and Townsend Farms. Mountaire later acquired the assets of Townsend.
Irwin started her career at Townsend after graduating from Clemson University.
Allen-Harm is owned by a company based in South Korea that acquired the Allen poultry operation.
Mountaire Farms is part of a corporation owned by an Arkansas family.
Staff changes at Delaware Theatre Co.
Delaware Theatre Company (DTC) announced that Matt Silva, Executive & Artistic Director, has elected to resign, to pursue an opportunity outside of the arts as Director of Campaign Management in the Institutional Advancement Department of Nemours Children’s Hospital.
Silva’s artistic responsibilities will be assumed by Mimi Warnick, DTC’s current Associate Artistic Director, and his operations responsibilities by Timothy McLaughlin, who will serve as Interim Managing Director until a permanent business operations leader is named.
Warnick, who will be promoted to Artistic Director concurrent with Silva’s departure, brings theatrical experience to her expanded role. She has served in a wide variety of producing, directing, and administrative capacities on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
McLaughlin is a business executive with experience guiding organizations through leadership transitions. He will ensure continuity of business operations and facilitate a smooth transfer of responsibilities to a new permanent managing director.
Seemans named Harvey Hanna government affairs manager
Harvey Hanna & Associates, Inc. (HHA), a real estate investment, development, and management firm, announced Jordan Seemans as its new Government Affairs and Community Relations Manager.
Seemans will oversee government relations and public policy initiatives, working closely with local, state, and federal stakeholders to support the company’s mission of driving economic growth and sustainable development across Delaware.
Seemans brings over 15 years of experience in government, public policy, and legislative affairs to HHA.
For the last five years, he served under State Treasurer Colleen Davis - most recently as Deputy State Treasurer.
Before his tenure at the State Treasurer’s office, Seemans served as Director of Legislative Affairs for Gov. John Carney, providing policy analysis and legislative strategy for the administration. communities and businesses.”
Silva named Hyatt Place general manager
Bill Silva as the new General Manager of Hyatt Place Dewey Beach.
Silva has worked in the hospitality industry for decades and served as the general manager at the Westin in Wilmington. He held similar positions for PM Hospitality Strategies, which operates the Westin and is affiliated with the Buccini/Pollin Group, a commercial real estate development company
Silva was also the long-time chairman of the Delaware Hotel and Lodging Association and was active in community and industry affairs.
Goodwill names staffing development manager
Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County appointed Christopher J. Banker to Business Development Manager for Goodwill Staffing Services, a program of Goodwill.
Christopher will focus on forging partnerships with businesses across various industries, particularly engaging with organizations to establish and expand staffing contracts.
Chris brings over a decade of experience in education and workforce development. He holds a Master’s degree in special education and a commitment to helping individuals achieve their career goals.
Chris began his career with Goodwill as a Career Navigator.
Goodwill Staffing Services provides talent management solutions to businesses, government agencies and non-profit organizations in Delaware and in Delaware County, PA.
More than 600 people from an array of industries, skillsets and backgrounds are employed with Goodwill Staffing.
Beebe Foundation names board chair, board member
The Beebe Medical Foundation Board of Directors elected Adam Disabatino as a new board member and announced Khalil Saliba as the new Chair of the Board. Directors serve a three-year term, with the possibility of two additional consecutive terms, allowing for a total of nine years of service.
Since its establishment in 1989, Beebe Medical Foundation has secured over $151 million in philanthropic support to help fulfill Beebe Healthcare’s charitable mission.
Saliba, who has served on the board for seven years, was appointed as the new Chair. He is the President of Saliba Action Strategies and serves as a Councilman and Deputy Mayor of the City of Lewes.
Adam Disabatino is a Project Manager at EDiS Company and brings expertise in development and construction to the board.
Kegelman named Spotlight Delaware event, marketing manager
Spotlight Delaware is expanding its events footprint in 2025 with the addition of Elsa Kegelman as events and marketing manager. Elsa brings years of experience in arts and community engagement, most recently serving as marketing director for New Light Theater since its founding in 2018.
Elsa’s position will help build on the success of the inaugural 2025 Spotlight Delaware Legislative Summit, which brought together more than 250 people for a full-day event in January. New events will be announced in the coming weeks.
Beebe adds physician assistants
Beebe Healthcare welcomed two new physician assistants to Beebe Medical Group, both of whom practice at local Walk-In Care Centers.
Robert Barwick, PA-C, provides diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses including ear infections, cold and flu, COVID-19, urinary tract infections, abdominal pain, and COPD..
He has worked for Wagner and Prigg Family Medicine, and Aspira Health/Atracare, both located in Lewes. Before pursuing a career in healthcare, Barwick was as a fisheries biologist at the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission.
Emma Klier, hasexperience in pediatric, internal, and emergency medicine, as she is caring for patients seeking care in Beebe’s Walk-In Care Centers. She treats some of the most commonly diagnosed acute illnesses including the flu, COVID-19, ear infections, and abdominal pain. Additionally, Klier addresses minor injuries that require immediate medical evaluation and treatment. She sees patients aged 6 months and older.
