Delmarva Power announced a first-of-its-kind vehicle-to-grid (V2G) pilot project that will demonstrate how electric vehicles (EV) can utilize their stored power to support the electric grid during times of need. V2G provides conventional, one-way charging from the electric grid to the vehicle and introduces bidirectional charging, where excess storage from an EV battery can flow back to the local electric grid.
