The store is on Rehoboth Avenue in the beach town. Starbucks has two other locations on Coastal Highway, outside Rehoboth.
Starbucks is closing hundreds of stores, mainly in the U.S. and Canada, as it works to improve disappointing earnings and sales figures.
The company has struggled to adapt to a changing market that includes customers opting for drive-up windows. It has launched an effort to improve customer service and remodel stores as a way to bring back patrons who don't use drive-up windows.
California seems be the epicenter for the closings. The state has high labor costs and many competitors.
Six Starbucks locations will close in Center City Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Business Journal (paywall) reported.
The hundreds of locations are a tiny faction of the more than 18,000 U.S stores. There have indications that Starbucks has too many stores that cannibalize one another. There have been similar concerns about other dominant chains like Subway and McDonald's
