Delaware State Police arrested 44-year-old Jeremy Bowen of Millville on a charge of home improvement fraud.
A Dover man contacted State Police. During the investigation, troopers learned that Bowen, of Delmarva Landscaping Solutions LLC, had signed a contract in May 2022 to install an inground pool that was supposed to be completed in about five weeks. The 72-year-old victim had paid Bowen $43,000 to do the work. Since that time, the work had not been started, and the victim’s money was never reimbursed, troopers reported.
On March 13, Bowen turned himself in to Troop 5 and charged with felony home improvement fraud involving an older victim.
Bowen was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on his own recognizance.
Troopers asked anyone who suspects Bowen had defrauded them to report incidents to their local police department.
