Firment to head Bank of America’s Delaware
Bank of America named Kelly Firment, Small Business and Vehicle Client Servicing executive, president of Bank of America Delaware. She succeeds Chip Rossi, who led the market for more than 15 years and retired this past June after a 40-year career with Bank of America.
She will oversee the company’s efforts to grow market share by fostering local connections and identifying opportunities to grow and deepen client relationships, a release stated.
Her track record includes launching new business sectors within Merrill, leading human resources functions and driving growth through data-driven marketing and client segmentation strategies.
In addition to market president, Kelly will continue her current role as Small Business and Vehicle Client Services Executive. In this role, she leads the end-to-end servicing experience for more than 3.4 million small business clients, 7.8 million likely business owners and 1.8 million vehicle lending clients.
LYCRA names top executives
The LYCRA Company announced two executive promotions.
Robert Johnston has been promoted to chief operating officer from his previous role as executive vice president, operations, and Doug Kelliher has been appointed executive vice president, product. Kelliher will join the company’s global leadership team, while Johnston continues in his leadership capacity.
Johnston, a 35-year veteran of The LYCRA Company and its predecessor organizations, will expand his leadership to include product development, in addition to his current oversight of global manufacturing operations and IT
Kelliher will lead the product management team in developing and executing strategy across fibers, fabrics, and garments. He has more than 30 years of product leadership experience at Timberland, Velcro Companies, Polartec and Milliken & Company.
LYCRA, an apparel fabric company, is based near Wilmington. It is owned by financial institutions after a Chinese company went into receivership.
NC Chamber CEO Deadwyler honored by Delaware Tech
Delaware Technical Community College’s Stanton and Wilmington campuses honored Yvonne Deadwyler, CEO of the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce, at its annual Hispanic Heritage Month Honoree Celebration.
Since 2010, Delaware Technical Community College has celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by honoring a community member whose exceptional contributions have improved the lives of Hispanic and Latino individuals throughout Delaware..
Deadwyler serves as president and CEO of the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce.
Since stepping into this role in 2024, she has focused on expanding partnerships, strengthening policy engagement, and positioning the Chamber as a leading voice in business circles.
Yvonne joined the Chamber in 2019 and previously served as interim president, vice president, and director of member relations. Earlier in her career, she spent 12 years with MBNA (later Bank of America).
Delaware Healthcare Association announces staff additions
The Delaware Healthcare Association has hired a Director of Population Health to partner with its members and policymakers on efforts to improve health outcomes, advance health equity, and strengthen partnerships that support Delaware’s patients and communities.
Adrienne Wallace begins the role of DHA’s Director of Population Health in October. With the hiring of Phylicia Edmonds DHA’s Administrative Coordinator, and other previously announced hires earlier this year, the Delaware Healthcare Association has officially doubled the size of its team.
In addition to strategic management of population health initiatives, Adrienne will lead DHA’s clinical and population health-related councils, including the new Health Equity Council, along with serving as DHA’s representative on applicable external workgroups.
Her career has spanned government and hospital systems with roles such as Senior Health Planner for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Research and Program Developer for St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
She currently leads a healthcare consulting firm focused on statistics, policy, and quality improvement.“
As Administrative Coordinator, Phylicia provides administrative and operational support to DHA’s leadership team.
Lifelong learning institute announces appointments
The University of Delaware’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute announced the appointment of three professionals to leadership roles at its Wilmington and Kent/Sussex programs.
Monica Browne has been appointed program manager for OLLI in Kent and Sussex counties. She has more than 20 years of leadership experience in K-12 and higher education, including roles as principal, superintendent and adjunct professor. Her previous work with UD and established connections in southern Delaware will support the continued development and expansion of OLLI’s programs in these counties.
Caitlin McGeever has been appointed program coordinator for OLLI Wilmington. McGeever is an educator and historian with a background in academic and public history. In her new role, she will support the continued development of OLLI’s academic programming and member engagement in Wilmington.
Lisa Coldiron has been named program coordinator for OLLI Kent/Sussex. Coldiron is an leader with a background in early childhood education and community outreach.
She previously served as the founding principal of Sussex Montessori School and held leadership roles with Read Aloud Delaware and the Sussex County Health Coalition. Her experience will be instrumental in supporting program growth and outreach in the region.

AmeriHealth Caritas names interim president
AmeriHealth Caritas announced that Gregg MacDonald has been appointed interim president.
The transition follows the August announcement of Kelly Munson’s expanded role as president and chief executive officer of Independence Health Group.
AmeriHealth Caritas, which handles Medicaid managed care and other health solutions, is jointly owned by Independence Health Group and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. The company operates in Delaware.
Munson will continue to provide oversight of AmeriHealth Caritas to ensure continuity and organizational alignment. She had served as president and CEO of AmeriHealth Caritas since February 2024.
MacDonald was serving as AmeriHealth Caritas’ executive vice president, specialty products and network.. MacDonald brought nearly four decades of healthcare leadership experience to AmeriHealth Caritas when he joined the company in September 2024 from Centene Corporation.
